Born to Leif and Helga Highmount in 2031 into the Royal caste in Tír Tairngire, he was brought up in elven high society and all the privilages offered by that station. However, in the 2050 Rite of Progression, despite performing outstandingly, was demoted to Gentry and was then thrust into military service as a private, to much ridicule of his new peers and shame to his family.
