Born to Leif and Helga Highmount in 2031 into the Royal caste in Tír Tairngire, he was brought up in elven high society and all the privilages offered by that station. However, in the 2050 Rite of Progression, despite performing outstandingly, was demoted to Gentry and was then thrust into military service as a private, to much ridicule of his new peers and shame to his family.
Leif confided afterwards that just before the Rite he was given a cryptic message that if he didn't stop being critical of the High Prince his son would suffer at the next Rite, and this only caused Talanar to be jaded about the Tír government and plotted to escape with Arythea, which they were successfully able to do so in 2052, with generous support from Leif.
After escaping the Tír, Talanar adopted the name "Trevor Lytton" and the couple settled in DeeCee and had Alexander (in 2054) and Ryne in 2062. He did some shadowrunning in the early days, but decided to get out of it after a few successful runs because it was too dangerous but still occasionally does jobs under the table for the local mafia when they need some extra firepower.
