The Kanaga-gumi is the newest group of the Seattle Yakuza, succeeding the Shigeda-gumi in 2072 after the untimely death of its oyabun, Takeo Shigeda. The Kanaga-gumi is headed by Sato Kanaga, who is significantly more conservative than his predecessor, which is more in-line with the party line, so to speak.
