EVO's tax center is considered one of the world's largest legal research facilities. Their ongoing conflict with the Japanacorps, leadership of the Pacific Prosperity Group, close relationship with the Emperor, focus on Russia and the move into Europe, and international relationships, as well as being extraterritorial, means that they are in a unique taxation and tariff situation.

Where many of the other AAA Corporations have fairly well understood import lines and processes, EVO has more kinds, and therefore has to create millions of microtreaties in order to make it work. They also lack a home country in the way that Wuxing or Renraku might have, or even a cadet country like Aztechnology, again meaning that there's no existing relationships they can exploit.

This means that this 40 story office tower, nestled in the middle of the corporate campus, has one of the largest legal staff in the entire world.
