The 3 NO/PA is designed as a counterpoint to "Introduce yourself by a name listed on a SIN to a legal security force". Legal security forces are on the lookout for suspicious SINs. Whereas people *explicitly* on the lookout for Shadowrunners use your Shadow reputation. A Mallcop wont care that you're a Big Scary Shadowrunner, it's just not in their pool of knowledge.

That's exactly why I think it should be a roll though, it see if it *is* in their pool of knowledge. On SR5 p369, there is a table for how much public awareness Public Awareness should give you and 3 is still "Unheard of outside the Shadow Community" and you need to get up to 7 for "investigative journalists [and] law enforcement" to know about you. However, I think if the intention of the line is represenative of someone in the shadow community trying to get dirt on you, it should be some sort of Do I Know You test; maybe they get a penalty equal to your lifestyle security or something.

> Introduce yourself by a runner name with more than 3 noteriety or public awareness to forces on the lookout for Shadowrunners

I think this should not be a fixed threshold but rather a "if they get hits on noteriety/awareness" basis, and should apply to any non-shadowrunner related group (i.e. not fixer or other shadowrunner unless they are antagonistic against the players). After all, if some group don't normally deal with shadowrunners, shadowrunners showing up on their turf is generally a very very bad day and is liable to remember this sort of detail when questioned later. — Revàn(Talk) 23:11, 18 August 2022 (EST)
